In her photographs, Pérez Bravo communicates through the distinctive gestures of her body, which she uses to express images that arise from introspection, desire, memories, and beliefs. Light and shadow play with space, and the conscious use of black and white gives the image a fantastical tone. Piensa cosas shows a staircase to infinity, emphasizing the moment in which it passes through the artist’s veiled head. At first glance, the gesture may seem invasive and uncomfortable, but it also illustrates how knowledge, ideas, or thoughts pass through the mind on a greater path.
