(Español) Es licenciado y maestro en Bellas Artes por el Otis College of Art and Design. Al inicio de su carrera se involucró con el movimiento artístico chicano de Los Ángeles y sus alrededores. A través de referencias al tiempo, la mermoria y la historia, sus obras exploran imágenes ocultas e historias olvidadas, así como la dualidad identitaria. Entre sus exposiciones destacan Reverence in blue (2023) en kurimanzutto, Nueva York, la 59a Bienal de Venecia (2022), Temporada de lluvias (2022) en kurimanzutto, Ciudad de México, e Hispanic Art in the US: Thirty Contemporary Painters and Sculptors (1987-89) en el Museum of Fine Arts de Houston y otros museos. Su obra forma parte de las colecciones institucionales del Arizona State University Art Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, Denver Art Museum, Hammer Museum, LACMA, MACO, Museo Tamayo, Sifang Art Museum, Smithsonian American Art Museum y X Museum.
